Alberto Mesirca, classical guitarist, graduated from the Specialized Executive Biennium at the Conservatory of Castelfranco Veneto with 110, cum laude and special honorable mention, under the guidance of M° Volpato. He completed the Konzert-Examen at the Musikakademie in Kassel, with W. Lendle, with honorable mention. Masterclasses with M. Barrueco, A. Diaz, A. Pierri, J. Vieaux. He was named "Young Artist of the Year" at the Aalborg Festivals, Denmark. He has published works for Edizioni Curci, Chanterelle, Zimmermann, Rai Trade.
In addition to hundreds of concerts as a soloist throughout Europe (Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, Rundetaarn in Copenhagen, Helsinki City Hall, Auditorium in Valencia, Teatro Regio in Parma, Palazzina Liberty in Milan, Kunstforum in Vienna, Conservatory of Barcelona, Los Angeles Meng Hall), he has played with D. Ashkenazy, V. Mendelssohn, D. Rowland, D. Nordio, A. Adorjan, M. Rummel, M. De Santi, M. Nisinman, Acies Quartet, Ardeo and Enesco Quartet, Quautor Enesco, Ex Novo Ensemble.
In December 2011 Alberto was appointed Head of the Music Archive of the Istanbul National Library.
In collaboration with Marc Ribot he recorded the complete guitar solo works of Haitian composer Frantz Casséus.
In June 2023 he played for the season directed by John Zorn at The Stone, New York. He has played at all the most prestigious international guitar festivals (GFA; Koblenz; Tychy; Mertz Bratislava; Forum Gitarre Wien; Aalborg...)
In October 2023 he was awarded the "Golden Guitar" at the International Guitar Conference in Milan for his complete recording of Mauro Giuliani's works for flute and guitar (together with Daniele Ruggieri - Brilliant Classics).
