Giuseppina Casarin

Giuseppina Casarin, a researcher and singer of the Italian oral tradition who has always been involved in various Theater and Music projects, starting with the meeting with Luisa Ronchini and Gualtiero Bertelli with whom she founded the Compagnia delle Acque, the protagonist of prestigious collaborations with Gian Antonio Stella, Edoardo Pittalis, Moni Ovadia.

There are also numerous collaborations in theatrical and musical projects with Sandra Mangini, Simone Nogarin, Rachele Colombo, Paolo Pax Calzavara, Oreste Sabadin, Luca Scarlini, Antonella Talamonti, Silvia Gribaudi, Fabio Franzin, Martina Ferraboschi, Marco Paolini, and Susanna Bissoli.

With the Voci dal Mondo Choir of Mestre born in 2008 in Mestre, a multiethnic and intercultural reality, it promotes and experiments with Musical Community Practice, that is, a facilitative mode of relationship between diversities, where singing and music become a territory of encounter, relationship and exchange between people with different ages, abilities, cultural, religious and linguistic backgrounds.

He has been leading the Coro delle Cicale since 2013 and carries out cultural and artistic community projects between Veneto and Friuli, where the song of oral tradition bridges the contemporary sound of the urban space or mountain village, seeking the path of artistic communication to connect with the place itself and the community that inhabits it.

In February 2024 by President Sergio Mattarella, she was appointed Officer of the Order of Merit of the Italian Republic, for promoting through singing dialogue between cultures and fostering social inclusion.
