He graduated with honors in Organ and Pre-Polyphonic Liturgical Music, and with honors in Piano.
He attended master classes in Italy and abroad and then continued his organ studies with Daniel Roth in Paris.

He carries out intense concert activity both as a soloist and collaborating with various chamber and orchestral ensembles and choral groups.
He has performed solo works for organ and orchestra by Haendel, Bach, Vivaldi, Brixi, Mozart, Salieri, Saint-Saëns, Guilmant, Rheinberger, Hindemith, Poulenc, Dupré, Heiller, Bossi, Ravanello and Respighi.
A member of juries in organ and choral competitions, he has held interpretation seminars and written contributions on nineteenth-nineteenth-century composers for specialist journals.
He founded the concert festivals "Historic Organs of Polesine" and "Music in Agordino."
He has published music for organ and choir (Carrara, San Liberale, LDC editions) and was a prizewinner in the 1st Sacred Composition Competition of the Diocese of Treviso.
From 1990 to 2021 titular at Treviso Cathedral organ; since 2021 at Mirano Cathedral.
Several world premiere recordings appear in his discography. The CD "Polybius Fumagalli - Works for Organ" (ed. Tactus), presented at Radiotre Rai, received DIAPASON découverte status from the French recording magazine of the same name.
