The "Agostino Steffani" Conservatory of Castelfranco Veneto employs a highly qualified teaching staff of musicians, composers and professionals with recognized artistic and pedagogical experience, active both nationally and internationally.
Our teachers are the beating heart of our educational activities and accompany each student on a path of musical, technical and human growth, with personalized attention and a constant dialogue between tradition and innovation.
Situated in a privileged location near cities such as Venice, Padua and Asolo, the "Agostino Steffani" Conservatory of Castelfranco Veneto is a State Institution of High Culture, originally founded in 1969 as a branch of the Venice Conservatory, and later became autonomous in 1980.
The Conservatory's headquarters is located within the walls of Castelfranco Veneto's medieval historic center and is dominated by Villa Barbarella, which houses the academic and administrative offices, as well as classrooms for teaching. Due to the increase in enrollment, the Conservatory has recently expanded its spaces with the opening of a new location in another place of great historical interest: the restored halls of the ancient Convent of the Cloister of the Servites.
The teaching, artistic and institutional activities of the "Agostino Steffani" Conservatory are based on the regulatory framework of High Artistic, Musical and Choreographic Education (AFAM), as defined by Law No. 508 of December 21, 1999, and the subsequent implementing Legislative Decree. This system recognizes the right of AFAM institutions to award academic degrees with legal value, equivalent to university degrees, and guarantees teaching, organizational and research autonomy.
Enrolling in the "Agostino Steffani" Conservatory means embarking on a path of higher artistic and musical education within the AFAM system, which is recognized nationally and at the European level. The Conservatory offers basic training courses, foundation courses, I and II Level academic courses, as well as master's degrees, free courses and continuing education.
